INTRODUCTION TO POLAR DESERT

Polar desert are areas with an annual precipitation less than 250 mm and a mean temperature during the warmest month of less than 10ºC . Polar desert on Earth cover nearly 5 million square km. As in the desert are sand storms , in the polar desert are snow storms . Temperature changes frequently cross the freezing point of water.
